PNW Franklin Falls Elopement

On a cloudy and misty day in the mountains, this bride and groom hiked up to Franklin Falls to elope with just their kids and best friend to witness. Leigh Ann and John traveled all the way from New Orleans to have a picturesque PNW Elopement at Franklin Falls. They followed my blog post guide to plan their relaxed and intimate ceremony and I was so happy to help them.

Getting ready

We started the day getting photos of the couple’s 6-year-old son helping his momma get dressed! It was such a sweet moment to see him zipping up his mom’s dress and this special day

First Look

Leigh Ann and John had their intimate first look with the river, mountains, and forest behind them. To say this is the most epic first look I’ve seen is an understatement!

The Hike

We headed to Franklin Falls which was about 40 minutes from the Airbnb. It took a little longer than expected since we had two little ones (1.5 and 6 years old). But it was such a true PNW experience! Muddy, misty, beautiful. Everything about this made my heart soar. I hope I get the opportunity to hike for another Franklin Falls Elopement soon!

The Ceremony

Talk about epic. It was just 7 of us there and it was the most intimate and most beautiful setting I’ve ever witnessed. I felt truly honored to have been part of this day.

The After Party

After the ceremony we went back to the Airbnb (See the Ernie’s Paradise Airbnb here!). While I was photographing the first dance, family photos, and cake cutting, my assistant ran to the local Dairy Freeze and LOADED UP on burgers, fries, and milkshakes! HIGHLY recommend burgers after your elopement 😉
