Considering a Lavender farm wedding? DO IT!!
I loved photographing every moment of this wedding at the Pelindaba Lavender Farm in Friday Harbor, WA.

Keegan & Amanda
Keegan and Amanda were such a fun couple to work with for their lavender farm wedding. I photographed their engagement session and they brought their two puppies along and it was such a blast. They wanted to have their dogs at the wedding, but at the end of the day it was easier to leave them home with a dog sitter! Amanda planned every impeccable detail herself too. From floral arrangements to the days activities, every moment was perfect for the bride, groom and their intimate guest list!
Lavender farm wedding venue
The setting for this wedding was a beautiful Pelindaba Lavender Farm located on Friday Harbor, and an island in the San Juan Islands in Washington state. The day was warm but we had a beautiful overcast so no one got too overheated being out in the lavender fields. Our beautiful bride, Amanda, designed all the flower arrangements herself and even knitted the shawl that she’s wearing in these photos. The green of her shawl blended so well with the purple of the lavender!

Kaitlynn was nice and professional. She worked with us on our thoughts and visions and added her thoughts in situations when we had no idea. Very reasonable rates for wedding photography and a quick turnaround on the finished pictures!

It’s all in the details
She even made the notebook to keep all the ceremony details in one place. The officiant’s talk as well as the bride and grooms vows were all in there. Amanda also made the wedding cake!! Taking into consideration the number of people with food allergies, she had three separate layers: one dairy-free, one gluten-free and one ‘normal’. She executed every detail in the most beautiful way and I’m so happy I was able to capture their wedding day!
Now Pre-COVID, intimate weddings were already my favorite. This wedding was always one of my favorites in that category. Including the bride and groom there were only 25 people in attendance! It made for such a beautiful and cozy wedding. The bride and groom could talk and really interact with every person there.
Something truly special about this lavender farm wedding was the ‘cocktail hour’ AKA making lavender wands and playing lawn games! The farm had someone teach the guests to create these beautiful lavender wands. It was such a unique activity and the guests loved it! And the bride and groom played corn hole and croquet. It was such a relaxed afternoon. After that we headed to the reception hall where we had tacos and margaritas!
Making memories with my family
At the end of the night, my daughter even made an appearance at the bride’s request! I had to travel about 4 hours and take a ferry each way so my husband attended the wedding with me and my parents stayed on the island as well to watch our daughter while we photographed the wedding. It was such a perfect weekend and I treasure those memories made!

Meet Kaitlynn
I am not only a wedding photographer, but I am also a stay-at-home mom to my beautiful two-year-old, Evelynn Rose. She is the absolute light of my life and I don’t know what I would do without this insanely energetic child. Not to mention her daddy, my husband, Cameron. He’s a gem, and I don’t even mean that sarcastically. He understands what I need before I even know it. He supports everything I do and I love him so much. He is the most amazing father and husband I could imagine. While Seattle Wedding Photographer is all over the site, I live in Bonney Lake WA but love going to Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue, and all the other cities in the area!Â
Oh this is so neat! I never thought of a lavender farm, what a beautiful compliment to their day.
